Each year new GPS devices come out and each year the companies that make them add features that they think you need. About two years ago I reviewed the TomTom 910, which was a capable GPS. Now it is time to see if the 930 is worth an upgrade.

IQ Routes technology uses real speeds on roads to calculate the best route. This way if a road is busy with traffic the 930 can use a different path if it is faster.
Advance lane guidance helps the driver prepare for highway exits and intersections by showing a closeup view of which lane you should be in.
With the Traffic Receiver, the TomTom GO 930 is able to access traffic information. This information is useful for routing around problems that would otherwise delay your trip.
The TomTom Map Share technology allows users to suggest changes that need to be made to the maps to keep them up-to-date.
Enhanced Positioning Technology allows the GPS to maintain its position even when the signal is poor because it is blocked by buildings or other obstructions.
Voice address input is a very unique and useful feature. Instead of having to type the city or street name, you speak them and the 930 will display a list of the closest matches.
Hands-free calling allows the GPS to be connected to a cell phone. The 930 can then be used to dial on the cell phone and you can talk through it.
The built-in FM transmitter is capable of transmitting the instructions to your car stereo.
